Create an assignment

You can batch documents within a saved search for reviewer assignment. When creating the assignment, you can choose to include family documents. Including family documents adds the documents that did not appear in the saved search and can increase batch sizes beyond the specified maximum, as family documents are kept together in a batch. If you choose not to include family documents, batches will contain the exact number of documents specified, and any family documents not in the saved search will be excluded.

In projects created in Epiq Discovery 3.8 or higher, when creating an assignment, you need to select a coding form and a reviewed field. When reviewing, a Reviewer or a Senior Reviewer needs to code this field in order for the batch and its assignment to reflect review progress.
